HELPING CHILDREN TO NEVER THINK OF THEMSELVES AS “BAD KIDS” AND
TEENS TO NEVER THINK OF THEMSELVES AS “NOT GOOD ENOUGH”
COUNSELING FOR CHILDREN & TEENS
Growing up is not always as easy as it may seem, especially with the advanced technology and social media these days. Both kids and teens are faced with challenges of peer pressure, academic expectations, and the constant challenge of managing their own emotions. These challenges in turn influence their self-esteem and most often, plant doubt in their abilities to succeed in life. Therapy can help your child/teen to cope with issues they cannot cope with alone.
We will strive to increase their confidence and provide them with the tools they need to manage their daily demands. We will communicate with parents, educators, and other professionals working with your child that may observe challenges in different areas of their life.

UNHAPPY CHILD/TEEN MAKES UNHAPPY FAMILY
Do you ever question your parenting abilities and how you raise your children?
At one point or another, we all tend to question ourselves as parents and feel like we’re not doing enough or compare ourselves to other parents. We are here to assist in any way we can, whether that means setting goals with the child or providing guidance to the parents.
OUR GOAL
To help any parents seek and establish a good foundation for their children or ease the stress in their home environment. We will strive to help kids/teens develop a good sense of self-worth and awareness. We will work on providing them with tools to regulate their emotions and work toward lasting behavioral change.
HAPPY KIDS ARE MADE,
NOT BORN!
CHILD & TEEN COUNSELING
CHILD COUNSELING
A critical component of child counseling is the involvement of the parent. There will be little to no improvement seen if the child’s therapy sessions do not translate to his/her home life. Therefore, depending on the age and the issues your child is facing, you can expect to be included in your child’s therapy process.
TEEN COUNSELING
A critical component of teen counseling is trust and gaining a sense of being heard. While parents are still involved in the process, it is imperative that effective ways of communication between the parents and the therapist are established prior to the session continuing. Often times, teens are reluctant to come into counseling and unable to see the benefits of it. Our goal is to provide them with a sense of trust and space where they feel empowered to speak freely, and not only see the benefits but gain healthy coping strategies.
OUR GOAL
To make therapy feel fun so that your child/teen is looking forward to attending therapy and gets the help he/she needs. The treatment approach we use for each child/teen is highly individualized depending on his/her needs and difficulties.
A treatment used may include:
Psychotherapy is never about a “quick fix”. It is a process that over time can provide relief, reduce symptoms, and most importantly improve your child/teen’s functioning in life.
We are here to support you and your child/teen through difficult times so your family enjoys the quality of life they deserve.
